There are other engineering entrance exams beyond JEE Main, like BITSAT for Birla Institute, VITEEE for VIT, and various state-level exams depending on where you want to study. Each has its own difficulty level and college options.
You could also take BITSAT for BITS colleges, COMEDK if you're interested in Karnataka colleges, or state-level exams depending on where you want to study. Having backup exams gives you more college choices and takes pressure off any single test.
Since you're in PCM, you have plenty of engineering exams with online modes. JEE Main, BITSAT, and COMEDK all offer online testing and open doors to great engineering colleges across India. Each has different timings and college networks, so explore what fits your goals best.

BITSAT is BITS Pilani's own entrance exam for their engineering colleges, held in April and May. COMEDK is Karnataka's state engineering exam mainly for colleges in that state. BITSAT has no state restriction, so you can apply from anywhere. Both are multiple-choice, but COMEDK is state-focused while BITSAT gives you access to BITS' campuses across India.
BITSAT doesn't have centralized counselling like JEE Main or NEET. Once you get your result, BITS will release its merit list and admission offer directly to you. You'll just need to accept the offer and complete the admission formalities on their portal, no separate counselling registration needed.
Qualifying BITSAT doesn't automatically get you a seat, you'll be ranked against all other qualifiers, and admission is based on merit and your choices. Once the merit list comes out, you'll get an offer if your rank is good enough. Then you accept it directly through BITS's portal, no separate counselling process like JEE Main or NEET.
BITSAT is different from JEE Main and NEET. BITS Pilani conducts its own admission process directly, so there's no separate national counselling like those exams. Once you get your BITSAT result and score, BITS will release its merit list and you'll get admission offers straight from them based on your performance.
JEE Main has two papers you can take separately: Paper 1 for B.Tech and Paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning. BITSAT is a single computer-based test covering physics, chemistry, maths, English, and logical reasoning all in one shot. JEE Main is more flexible in timing, while BITSAT is faster-paced. Both are great for engineering, so it depends on which style suits you better.
