Quill Zone: student admission questions

WBJEE is in April or May, and a bunch of other state entrance tests like OJEE, KCET, and TSICET also run around that time. JEE Main sessions are in January and April. These state exams are great backups for engineering colleges.

Most engineering entrance exams are computer-based now. JEE Main, WBJEE, and most state exams like OJEE and KCET are all online. It's pretty standard across India now, so you'll be taking tests on a computer.

JEE Main is the big one, it runs twice a year, in January and April. Most other engineering entrance exams like WBJEE, OJEE, and KCET are single-attempt tests held once a year, so JEE Main gives you more chances to improve your score.

KCET is Karnataka's entrance exam for engineering, medical, agriculture, and design programs at the state's colleges. Applications open in January, close in February, and the exam is in April.
