An autonomous college has the freedom to design its own curriculum and conduct its own exams, even if it's affiliated to a university. This gives it more flexibility and often allows it to stay updated with industry trends. Many top colleges in India have this status.
A college affiliated to a university means it follows that university's curriculum and exam system, even though it's run independently. Students get their degrees from the university, not the college itself. It's a common setup in India and gives you access to good education without the overhead of a full university structure.
