Since you're in PCM, you have plenty of engineering exams with online modes. JEE Main, BITSAT, and COMEDK all offer online testing and open doors to great engineering colleges across India. Each has different timings and college networks, so explore what fits your goals best.

For engineering, JEE Main opens doors to the most colleges across India, including NITs, IITs, and hundreds of private colleges. If you're exploring other fields like medicine, law, or commerce, those exams like NEET, CLAT, and CAT have their own broad reach too.

JEE Main is the national exam that gets you into engineering colleges across India, NITs, IITs, and hundreds of private colleges in every state. MHT-CET is Maharashtra's state entrance exam and is mainly for colleges within Maharashtra. If you want options beyond Maharashtra, JEE Main is the way to go.

Since you're in PCB but not keen on MBBS, you have solid options. You could explore CUET for general degree programs in sciences, commerce, or arts at top universities. You could also shift to engineering exams like JEE Main if that interests you, or look at other professional courses.

Beyond JEE Main, CUET UG is a solid backup for government universities nationwide. BITSAT works well if you like BITS colleges, and depending on your location, state exams like TSICET, KCET, or WBJEE can give you more college options. Having 2-3 backup exams is a smart strategy.

BITSAT is the main one for BITS Pilani, where the institute runs its own admission process directly. Most other engineering colleges use JEE Main ranks for seat allocation. Some colleges also conduct their own exams, but BITSAT is the most well-known institute-level test for engineering.

JEE Main counselling is handled by the exam authorities and participating colleges after results come out. You register with your rank, choose your preferred colleges and branches in order of preference, and then get allotted a seat based on your rank, category, and choices. The exact process and timeline will be announced on the official JEE Main website once results are declared.

JEE Main has 90 questions across three subjects, which is pretty typical for major entrance exams. NEET also has 180 questions spread over physics, chemistry, and biology. CAT for management has fewer, around 66 questions. It really depends on the field you're interested in.
